1.Elicio Vermentino $10.99- The Wildcard!
A clear pale-yellow color with an intense nose of citrus fruit and exotic fruit (pineapple). A very refreshing wine with a pleasant acidity mingling sweet fruit notes and a touch of citrus.
2.Domaine Hubert Brochard Sauvignon Blanc “Les Carisannes” $14.99
Sauvignon Blanc Les Carisannes comes from a five-hectare vineyard in Bannay near the Sancerre appellation. Stony soils and vinification in stainless-steel tanks yields a fresh tasting wine with notes of minerals.
3.Lambert Cuvee Les Terasses Chinon $19.99
This is a delightful Cabernet Franc that epitomizes what great Chinon can be. The Les Terrasses is bright and clean with beautifully ripe red and black fruits, spring flowers and supple tannins. It’s everything you want in an everyday sipper, that drinks well on its own but can easily stand up to charcuterie, grilled pork or even roasted lamb.
4.Clos du Gravilles “Sous le Cailloux des Griottes” $17.99- Silvia’s Favorite!
Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Grenache, Counoise, Terret and Mourvèdre
A fresh, lively and delicious red wine due to a short maceration, but which remains concentrated thanks to very ripe grapes.
5.St. Cosme Cotes du Rhone $17.99
Château de Saint Cosme is the leading estate of Gigondas and produces the benchmark wines of the appellation. The property has been in the hands of the Barruol family since 1570. Produced from 100% Syrah and is from the rocky and cool vineyards of Vinsobres and the stony Villafranchian terraces of the Gard. Vinsobres brings freshness and complexity while the terraced vineyards of the Gard contribute color and power.
