As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary all year…
we invite two of our previous Sommeliers who were keys to our journey of excellence!

Join us for an unforgettable evening of wine, food, and friendly competition
as three of Ohio’s most accomplished sommeliers
go head-to-head-to head in a blind wine pairing showdown!

For one night only, we welcome back two former Refectory Sommeliers!
Taylor Wolf and Chris Dillman return to challenge current Sommelier Clayton Young. Together, these three wine professionals have spent years shaping The Refectory Wine Program, educating guests, and building reputations throughout Ohio’s wine community. Now they’re putting their palates on the line with this friendly competition!

Guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner featuring seasonal cuisine.
Each course will be accompanied by three wines, one selected by each sommelier,
for a total of nine carefully chosen pours.

The twist? The wines will be served blind.

Guests will taste, compare, and vote for their favorite pairing with each course without knowing which sommelier selected which wine. At the end of the evening, votes will be tallied, a winner will be crowned, and one sommelier will earn a year’s worth of bragging rights.

The evening includes:

  • Welcome Champagne and canapés
  • Three seasonal paired courses
  • Nine blind wine pairings
  • Interactive guest voting throughout the dinner
  • Petit fours and winner reveal

Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply love great food and wine, this unique event offers the chance to experience how three different sommeliers approach the same challenge—and to decide who did it best.

Former Refectory Sommelier and accomplished Wine Professional known for the depth of his knowledge, experience, and contributions to Columbus’ wine scene.
