Matthiasson Wine Dinner

We are pleased to invite you to a special wine dinner featuring acclaimed winemaker Steve Matthiasson of Matthiasson Wines, WineCraft rep Eddie Boyd, and Sommelier Clayton Young. Steve will join us in person to share his wines and the philosophy behind them during an intimate evening celebrating thoughtful farming, expressive wines, and great food.

A message from Matthiasson: Winemaking, for us, is a natural extension of farming: preserving bounty, marveling at beauty, and celebrating the great tradition of working with nature for nourishment.
We both worked for many years in the sustainable agriculture and local food movement. In 2003, we started Matthiasson Wines based on those same values: purity of product, sense of place, respect for land and people, and deliciousness. Today, our small family winery is still proudly independent — no partners or investors — just the vision of Jill and Steve and a passionate, hard-working team. Our independence allows us to farm organically at all times and to pioneer regeneration constantly.
We grow our wines by hand, with reverence and gratitude, striving to bring forth deeply flavorful wines that are refreshing, pair well with food, and are moderately alcoholic. We cherish familiar varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon as much as we prize rare others like Ribolla Gialla or Refosco — in all cases, classical, delicious, singular expressions that we hope honor their origin and enhance your table.
We look forward to sharing this special evening of conversation, food, and exceptional wines with you.
