The Refectory in Columbus named Ohio’s best French restaurant

The article highlights what so many of our guests already know — that The Refectory has long been a destination for refined French cuisine, thoughtful hospitality, and memorable dining experiences in Columbus. For nearly 50 years, our team has been dedicated to creating evenings that feel both timeless and personal, where exceptional food, wine, and service come together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

From the kitchen of Chef Richard Blondin, whose culinary roots trace back to Lyon, France, to the leadership of owner Kamal Boulos, our restaurant has remained committed to honoring the traditions of French cuisine while continually evolving with the seasons and inspirations of the moment.

This recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2026, a milestone that reflects decades of dedication from our chefs, servers, sommeliers, and staff — and the incredible support of the Columbus community.

We are deeply grateful to The Columbus Dispatch for the recognition and to our loyal guests who have made The Refectory part of their celebrations, milestones, and everyday moments over the years.

Here’s to the next chapter — and many more wonderful evenings shared at the table.

Thank you, Columbus.🍷
